Lightning Dictionary is a community resource designed to improve upon the existing Data Dictionary and documentation for reporting. We know that getting started with reporting may feel like a daunting and complex task, but we want to make it easier and more accessible for everyone. We've packed everything into this one site so you don't have to look anywhere else. An interactive entity relationship viewer, an advanced report data object builder that re-creates the report building process, and documentation that provides the support you need to build the reports you want.

If further documentation is needed, the docs will provide the information necessary to get started with reporting. There, you'll find articles on how to get started with reporting as well as more advanced guides on how to perform some of the more complicated tasks within reporting such as creating computed columns/expressions, working with filters and aggregations, and creating custom parameters.

Everything in here was added by hand. A lot of work and passion has gone into this project and will continue to do so as long as there is a need for it. If you find an issue, please submit it using the form here. Please also feel free to use that form to share feedback on how this has helped you or if you have any suggestions. We will do our best to take every suggestion into account. But at this time, no new features are planned.
